This 1-hour virtual workshop, hosted in partnership with the Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA), equips Michigan’s economic development leaders to confidently create a customized AI policy for their organization. Many EDOs hesitate to use AI due to uncertainty around compliance, ethical use, and governance. This session removes those barriers by guiding participants through a clear, repeatable AI workflow that results in a finished, organization-specific AI policy — ready for internal review or adoption.

Big Picture Goal: Accelerate responsible AI adoption across Michigan’s economic development ecosystem by giving leaders the clarity, confidence, and compliance structure they need to move forward safely.

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

✅ Leave with a personalized AI policy draft tailored to their organization’s needs. 

✅ Understand the key elements of effective AI governance and responsible use. 

✅ Gain the confidence to champion AI enablement within their teams. 

✅ Have an actionable next step — to refine and implement their policy internally or deepen their AI readiness through the AI Performance School for EDOs at SimpleEDO.ai

Cancellation Policy for Complimentary Attendees

• While this session is free to members and webinar subscribers, we appreciate your cancelling as soon as you know that you cannot attend, but at least 24 hours in advance. Send your cancellation to Cassandra at cjorae@medaweb.org.

Cancellation Policy for Paid Attendees

• Cancellations must be received in writing to cjorae@medaweb.org on or before October 22nd to receive a full refund.
• Cancellations between October 23rd and 27th will be refunded less 50%.
• There will be no refunds on October 28th or after.
• Those who do not cancel and do not attend will be charged the full price of registration.
• MEDA is not responsible for technical difficulties due to your equipment, internet connection, email firewall, etc.
